Impressions from Intra.Net Reloaded Berlin
We are back home again after some exciting days in the vibrant and warm city of Berlin and this year’s Intra.Net Reloaded. An event which gathered more than 350 decision makers and is known to be one of the most innovative events in Europe on intranet, digital workplace and internal communications. The ayfie team had a stand onsite as well as presenting onstage and we come back with energy and good insights.
As usual, the quality of the event and attendees were great. If we were to recap some impressions from our three days, we would emphasize the fact that the digital transformation is changing how we work and how we communicate. One of the keynote speakers kicked off by talking about the gig mentality and how it is growing inside organizations while bringing more freedom and fluid teams. This changes the way organizations communicate and makes the efficiency of the digital workplace ever more important. The presentation made by Bonnier was a great example of how to integrate information flows to enhance the user experience and efficiency in the organization. The fact that machine learning and AI is becoming more and more prevalent, also forces us to define how we best take advantage of the technology at hand.
Our own Christian Schömmer went on stage the first day of the event where he spoke about the future of information mining, smart search and why it is important to have control of your data when the GDPR comes into play on May 25th. We were proud to have our guy onstage and we received a lot of positive feedback as well as companies coming by to discuss interesting use cases.
We saw that GDPR was very high on people’s agenda. Attendees were impressed with ayfie’s strategy and tools for analyzing unstructured data in this context. Dell had a really good session on their strategy for managing data compliance including some of the challenges and implications with respect to GDPR compliance which was very interesting. As eDiscovery is very much a core topic at ayfie, we also were excited to see that corporate video solutions have begun incorporating speech-to-text in recordings. To us that means yet another data source we could index and surface within the eDiscovery process
All in all, we enjoyed some excellent keynotes, sessions and discussions sharing trends, best practices and innovative ideas with attendees and fellow presenters. We had many people coming by our booth to see how our technology can help their business and we look forward to continuing the discussions!
