ayfie launches LegalTech lecture series together with Barclays Eagle Lab in London

Since opening our UK office in London last August, we’re now increasing our activity in the UK legal tech scene by organizing a number of discussion panels at the Barclays LawTech Lab in Notting Hill. Our intention is to hold an evening panel discussion every other month on key themes within the legal tech industry.

The first evening panel discussion takes place on December 13th at 6pm and covers the new disclosure rules in the UK that take force next year. Using AI to cull documents as part of the disclosure process is key to lowering the cost of litigation in the UK.

The panel is a mix of firms, in-house counsel, legal service providers, and includes eDiscovery experts from Pinsent Masons, The Adecco Group, Aser Group and RioTinto plc. We will discuss:

• Exploring the Disclosure Pilot Scheme and its implications for litigation
• Aided Intelligence for Disclosure, ECA and eDiscovery
• De-mystifying AI. When to use NLP and when to use Machine Learning
• Responsibility, best practices and limits when implementing an AI-based solution

After the panel we’re celebrating Christmas at the Barclays Lab alongside event attendees and our fellow lawtech lab residents.
